The jail also has a freedom fighter who is to be hanged. This song is sung by the freedom fighter as he is being led to the gallows.

“Chakradhaari” (1954) is a religious/mythological movie and one expects its songs to be mainly prayers etc. And indeed there are several such songs. But this movie also has songs that are more “mainstream” in the sense that they have more to do more with human relations rather than with the Almighty.

Here is a lovely 1970 style song from 1996. The movie is ” Raja Hindustani” and listening to this song almost reminds me of the movie “Asha”(1980) and its dhaba song “Jaane ham sadak ke logon se mahlo waale kyun jalte hain”.
