“Kohra”(1964) was directed by Biren Nag. This movie was a Hindi adaptation of Daphne Du Maurier’s “Rebecca”(1938), or more accurately it was an Hindi adaptation of Alfred Hitchcock’s “Rebecca”(1940) based on the novel of Daphne Du Maurier.

The personal family circumstances in the recent past, had been exigent to the extreme. His life partner had passed away just 10 days prior to the scheduled meeting. We had decided to go ahead with the meeting, sans his participation.
