January 7th is the birthday of Reena Roy the actress from the 70s and 80s. she was the one with an earthy look when she wore Indian clothes and could also carry western outfits without looking out of place. She made a successful pair with Jeetendra and Shatrughan Sinha. She also had a few successes with Sunil Dutt, Dharamendra and Kamalhaasan. She was a decent dancer too—one can’t forget her disco numbers in “Sanam Teri Kasam” and “Rocky”. She has been part of the star cast of Amitabh Bachchan’s “Naseeb” and “Andha Kanoon” but has never been paired opposite him romantically. She was last seen in J.P.Dutta’s “Refugee” as Abhishek’s foster mother.

Simply hard to believe that it is more than four decades that this film was released. The film itself was hard to trace for many years, and was in demand, on account of its music.
