Badraa chaaye..aaya saawan jhoom ke
Posted on: July 15, 2010
In western cultures, only one day in the spring season , called Valentine’s day is dedicated for love. In Indian culture , on the other hand, an entire season, viz the rainy season is the season of love. It did not begin with the advent of Bollywood movies. Even in ancient Sanskrit novels, for instance in Kalidas’ “meghdoot”, we find the rainy season described as the season when there is love in the air.

Jeenaa kyaa aji pyaar binaa

Satyam Shivam Sundaram
Posted on: March 15, 2010
This title song of “Satyam Shivam Sundaram” has at least two versions. The song itself is quite popular to this day. Its picturisation is another matter. The critics those days panned Raj Kapoor for using this movie to show Zeenat Aman’s body at every opportunity, which in the view of the critics was against the Indian ethos.
