Aah, the magical triple zero. There is always quite a long wait to get to a milestone that carries all zeroes in the last three digits. Welcome all, to the fourteenth such milestone. Yes, I hear you say it – it IS getting to be a staggering collection, this ASAD blog. You can pick your time preference, we are on to the

of the continued proliferation of this blog.
Given where we are today, and from when we started, the average posting rate has been a tad over 4 songs a day, 4.0172 to be precise. Or to put it another way, if we were exactly at 4 songs a day, then today we would have been at 13,940, requiring 15 more days to hit the 14K milestone. Today (26 january 2018) is the 69th republic day of India. As for the blog, it was the 10th republic day for us. It may be unbelievable but we are just six months away from completing a decade of existence for this blog.
Today, three articles have been covered by three contributors. One post introduced a “debutant” movie. Sudhir Jee had planned to post a suitable song from “Susheela”(1966) that we thought would make “Susheela”(1966) our YIPPEE movie of the day. But Sudhir Jee discovered that this movie had another song left (this additional information was lying hidden in the corrigendum.

Today, 23rd January 2018 is the 121st Birth Anniversary of India’s best known revolutionary- Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose. His life story and name is known to every Indian. It is not only very inspiring, but is very motivating as well. Unfortunately Netaji did not get the kind of help or support he needed and deserved for his Military action, from Indian politicians of his times. Netaji’s philosophy clashed with the Non-Violence policy espoused by Gandhi and his Congress Party. He pursued his dream single handedly. It is once in a Century that such a person is born. My respectful obeisance to Netaji.
On this occasion, here is a song describing his life which was nothing but a life of Balidaan or sacrifice.

The 1949 film ‘Bhedi Bangla’ was a stunt film Produced by ‘Jagruti Pictures, Bambai’ (as the city was called then) and Directed by Master Bhagwan. The star-cast included himself as well as Baburao, Azim, Shankar Mirajkar, Inamdar, K K Swamy, Leela Gupte, Usha Shukla, Tarabai etc.
Music was provided by P Ramakant to the lyrics of Ehsan Rizvi. The Film Had Six songs and Lataji had Five songs according to ‘Lata Samagra’. (2 Solos and 3 Duets with Chitalkar)
