The first song from the film CHAAND CHAKORI (1945), jogan banaa ke piyaa chhod gayo galiyon mein was posted on the Blog about 6 years back. Since then, no more songs from the film were covered in the Blog. In the write-up to the first song from the film, Atul ji had mentioned that very little information about the film was available online. At that time, I doubt whether any songs from this film was available on YT as I find that the first and the only song out of 13 songs from the film was uploaded by Atul ji on YT.

Today, May 31, 2017 is the 14th Remembrance Day of Anil Biswas ( 07/07/1914 – 31/05/2003) who is regarded as the doyen among the Hindi film music directors. Despite not having a formal training in classical music, he rose to the stature of being called the ‘Bhishma Pitaamah’ of Hindi film music.
