Hussain was born in Bombay on 25-2-1918. He directed about 40 odd films, which included some known names like Roop lekha-49, Sipah salar-56,Qaidi-57, Aji bas shukriya-5d, Delhi Junction, Shikari,Faulad,Teesra kaun,Thakur jarnial singh, Dilruba,CID 909,Jaal saaz and lastly Madina masjid-77.
