Today (24 february 2019) is the 95th birth anniversary of Talat Mehmood (24 February 1924-9 May 1998).
Talat Mehmood sang some 450 songs in all which includes HFM as well as NF songs. This blog contains 377 of his songs. So we are only about 70 odd songs short of covering all Talat Mehmood songs in the blog.
Today, on this occasion, here is a non film song of Talat Mehmood. Like most NFS, this song too has superb lyrics which are penned by Jigar Muradabadi. The song is composed by Iqbal. The date of release in not known, and I have assumed it to be 1960.

This “social” movie had Johny Walker, Anita Guha, Radhakishan, Kuldeep Kaur, Ramlal, Jagdev, Minu Mumtaz, Jagdeesh Kanwal, Sadhana, Mohan Modi, Darshan, Dukhiya, Radheshyam, Krishn Billa, C K Shah, Sayyad, Satpal, Dinanath, Devraj, Moolraj, Amir Ali, Murari, Rasheed, Bela, Sheela etc in it.

This “historical” movie had Nimmi, Bharat Bhushan, Anita Guha, Ulhas, Chandrashekhar, Achla Sachdev, Manmohan Krishn, Prem Adib, Kesri, Rammohan, Vinod Kumar, Sheela Kashmiri, Bimla, Helen etc in it.
The movie had seven songs in it. Four of these songs have been covered in the past.

The film is ‘Police Detective’ from 1960. The melody was still the reigning empress, and the creators of the likes of Chitragupt were still at their inspired best. Such a lovely playful song of two hearts in love, expressing their hearts to each other.
