There were five Mangeshkar siblings- four sisters and one brothers, viz, Meena, Lata, Asha (Bhonsle), Usha, and their brother Hridaynath. “Dulhan wah jo piya man bhaaye” (1977) was a runaway hit of the year. In fact, this was a bigger hit than “Sholay” in the city where I was growing up.

“Dulhan wahi jo piya man bhaaye” was not a mainstream movie. It was a movie made by Rajshree productions and as was their wont, there were no big names in this movie.

“Anurodh” (1977) was a Rajesh Khanna movie when his career was going downhill. In this movie he was cast opposite his sister in law viz Simple Kapadia.

“Sahib Bahadur” (1977) was one of the forgettable movies of Dev Anand. Incidentally, it was a remake of another Dev Anand movie called “Afsar” (1950) which was presumably less forgettable.
