When she appeared on the film scene in 1965-66, the she was christened as the Sophia Loren of the Indian film industry. Considered to be one of the more daring cabaret dancers on screen, she actually expressed her extreme dislike for it, stating that primarily she is not a dancer, she never trained to be.
