In this blog, I have been discussing Sajjad Hussain’s compositions these days. I have covered nearly 40 % of all the songs that he composed in Hindi movies and finding the remaining songs is becoming a tall order as they are all rare songs, not easil available. So every day I wonder where my next Sajjad Hussain song will come from.

By now I have discussed as many as 39 songs composed by Sajjad Hussain for Hindi movies. Considering that he gave music for only about 100 songs, finding the remaining songs is becoming increasingly difficult and so discovery of every additional Sajjad Hussain song from now onwards in a cause to rejoice, because the remaining song are truly difficult to locate.

Sajjad Hussain made his debut an an independent music director with “Dost”(1944). With the passage of so much time, very little is known about this movie today. What is known is that this movie had actors like Noorjahan, Vatsala Kumthekar, Motilal, Husnbano, Maya Banerjee, Kanhaiyalal etc in it.
