Here is a song from the movie “Farmaish” (1953). This is the ‘T’ songs of A-Z of Rafi song series. This is a duet song composed by Huslal-Bhagatram and lyricist is Qamar Jalaalabadi. A duet with Shamshad Begum was so far missing in the series. So here is the promised duet, which is a light hearted romantic banter.

I was looking for a song of Dev Anand for this Rafi series. Much as I wanted a composition by S. D. Burman to feature here as a typical Dev Anand song, I could not find one which was yet to be posted. What I found instead was this song from the movie “Dushman” (1957). This is a Rafi solo starting with the alphabet ‘N”. On screen Dev Anand is singing this on the streets, with kids in the area following him around. He is in disguise dressed up as a ‘magician’, singing repeatedly ‘main jaadugar Bangal kaa” so as to emphasise his profession.
