“Kashish” (1980) is a movie of recent vintage by the standards of this blog, but I had never heard of this movie before. And very little informations seems to be available about this movie. Accordng to imdb, this movie was direced by written and directed by Amin Q Chaudhary and this movie had Navin Nischol, Vinod Mehra and Reena Roy. That plus the information that B R Ishara was also involved in writing the story, is all the information that seems to be available about this movie.

In Hindi movies, we have examples of movie makers who would ensure that their movie titles began with some particular letters of the alphabet. Thus J Omprakash’s movies will always begin with “A”, and in case of Arjun Hingorani movies, the title would be of three words, each beginning with K. In the long string of ‘Ustad’ films, here is one that is a new entrant for this blog. ‘Birju Ustad’ is a 1964 film from the banner of Movie Miracles, Bombay, directed by Manu Desai.
