‘Baat Ban Jaaye’ (1986) was produced by Anil Hanspal and Nitin Manmohan which was directed by Bharat Rungachary. The cast included Sanjeev Kumar, Zeenat Aman, Utpal Dutt, Mithun Chakraborty, Raj Babbar, Amol Palekar, Aruna Irani, Jalal Agha, Shakti Kapoor, Adi Irani, Imtiaz Khan, Jagdeep, Prema Narayan, Viju Khote etc. The film belongs to the family comedy genre. It was the first film for Nitin Manmohan (son of actor, Manmohan) as a producer and second film as a director for Bharat Rungachary. Sanjeev Kumar passed away before the release of the film. However, he had completed all his work for the film.
The credit title of the film did not mention the names of the actors. Probably director felt that that since each actor in the film had his share of comedy, to present the film as a collective efforts of the entire cast in creating a family comedy film rather than showcasing the individual actors by mentioning their names. Incidentally, Sanjeev Kumar, Amol Palekar, Raj Babbar and Mithun Chakraborty were in the role of the prospective bridegrooms for the wealthy businesswoman, Zeenat Aman in the film.

In this post I am presenting a song from a movie released in the year 1975. All songs of this movie have already been covered in the blog, which means the today’s song is an additional song which was not available at that time. This song was recorded, but it was not released on the records of this movie. This song was not picturised in the movie. Thanks to the fans of Pancham Da (and thanks a lot to Mili Bhattacharya jee, who had the recording (spool) of this song) and ‘Pancham Magic –Pune’ that this song is now available on internet for our listening pleasure. This song was released on internet on 27th June 2022.
This song was recorded for the movie ‘Khushboo-1975’. This movie was passed by the Censor Board on 08.05.1975. Which means this movie has already completed fifty years of its existence. This movie was directed by Gulzar Saab. He also wrote the dialogues, lyrics, and screenplay (shared with D.N. Mukherjee and Bhooshan Banmali).

So, we are at this familiar landmark again. The landmark of a century post for the blog. This is the 192nd century for the blog. In other words, this article is song post number 19200 for the blog. It appears as if the blog began just a few days ago in the month of july. In reality the blog began in July 2008 (19 July) and today we are in 2025. We have completed 17 years of continuous existence which is quite an achievement for an online activity. During 1970s, when I was in my teens, I used to maintain records of cricket. Nowadays, we have access to cricket records with the click of a few buttons on computer or mobile phones but that was not the case 50 odd years ago. At about the same time, I also started noting down the lyrics of Hindi movie songs that I liked. Those days were pre HFGK days when we had no idea how many movie songs were created by then. The claims of 25000 plus songs and 28000 songs by individual singers were entertained and published even in Guiness Book of world records those days !
