Today (8 september) is an important date for music lovers of Hindi movie songs. It was on this date in 1933 that Asha Bhonsle was born. Today she turns 79. And she has been giving playback in HIndi movies since 1948. So she has been a playback singer for the last sixtyfour years ! Simply unbelievable.

Well I think the main reason could be that there are so many such wonderful gems still out there that I am sure we are going to continue rediscovering them and posting them here, for a long time still to come.
