On this date ten years ago (24 May 2013),seven songs from seven digfferent movies was covered in the blog. Here are the details:-

We observe that three movies (out of seven) whose songs were covered in the blog on this date ten years ago (on 24 May 2013) have since been YIPPEED in the blog. That leaves us with four unYIPPEED movies that are eligible for Blog Ten Year Challenge today (24 May 2023). Out of these four unYIPPEED movies, two movies have only one song left to be covered but that last song could not be located, so these two movies cannot be taken up under BTYC. That leaves us with juste eligible for BTYC and whose remaining songs are available.
“Dekha Pyaar Tumhaara”(1963) was produced by Tahirbhai Akbarali Khety and directed by K Parvez for Mamta movies, Bombay. The movie had Naaz, Subi Raj, Achla(Sachdev), Helen, Madan Puri, Sadhna Chowdhry, Sham Kumar, Lotan, Baby Ismat, Bhagwan etc.
“Dekha Pyaar Tumhaara”(1963) had six songs in it. Two songs have been covered so far.
Here is the third song from the movie to appear in the blog. The song is sung by Suman Kalyanpur. Majrooh sultanpuri is the lyricist. Raj Ratan Raj (actual name Abdul Majeed Sheikh) is the music director.
Only audio of the song is vailable. It is the title song of the song. So it may have been lip synced by the leading lady of the movie, who appears to be Naaz. I request our knowledgeable readers to throw light on the picturisation of the song.

“Dekha Pyaar Tumhaara”(1963) was directed by K Parvez (aka Kalptaru) for Mamta Movies, Bombay. The movie had Naaz, Subi Raj, Bhagwan, Achla Sachdev, Helen, Madan Puri, Sadhna Chaudhry, Shyam etc in it.
THe movie had six songs in it.
One song has been covered and that was five years ago.
Here is the second song from “Dekha Pyaar Tumhaara”(1963) to appear in the blog. This song is sung by Lata. Majrooh Sultanpuri is the lyricist. Music is composed by Raj Ratan.
The song is picturised as a joie de vivre song on Naaz, with Subiraj and Achla Sachdev also visible in the picturisation.

“Ramu Ustaad”(1971) was directed by Mohammad Hussain for Navsampati Productions, Bombay. This “social” movie had Dara Singh, Anita, Junior Mehmood, Shah Agha, Filly, Roopali, Habib, Nikhil, Hisn Bano, Jayshree T, sabir, Madan Puri etc in it.

“Raj Ratan”(1953) was directed by Indu Kumar for Majdooristaan, Bombay. The movie had Nirupa Roy, ranjana, Jairaj, Ulhas, sapru, Hiralal, Roopmala, Baby Tabassum, Anwari Bai, Prakash, P D Lal, Arvind Kumar etc with Trilok Kapoor in guest appearance.

Raj Ratan is the name that I am not familiar with. This music director is making a debut on this blog today. When I came across this name as I checked on this song, it did not sound very familiar. I did some quick scanning of the Geet Kosh, but am not able to locate too much more work done by this composer. In the quick scan I did, I am able to pull up just two more films by him, and that too in the years far apart (‘Ramu Ustad’ in 1971, and ‘Madine Ki Galiyan’ in 1979). It appears as if he is a person who is active in the industry as an assistant music director, and has had an occasional opportunity to independently score music, as a music director.
