“Wasiyatnaama” (1945), by now a forgotten movie, was directed by Soumen Mukherji for New Theatres, Calcutta. The movie had Asit Baran, Sumitra Devi, Bharati, Latika Bannerji, Ahindra Chaudhary, Hiralal, Devi Mukherji, Shor, Tandon, Natwar, Tulsi etc in it.

One of the things I like doing, is to watch old films on youtube. In the past, there weren’t that many available but over the last few years, many more have been uploaded. Especially the ones that aren’t very easily available otherwise. For somebody like me, that is like “andhe ko kya chaahiye, do aankhen”. 🙂

When needy people need help, they often appeal for help, and help pours in from all quarters. When I discussed the previous Zohrabai ambalewaali song, i mentioned that I was struggling to get Zohrabai Ambalewaali songs to discuss. The next thing I knew was that Zohrabai Ambalewaali songs poured in my inbox. 🙂 So one can say that Zohrabai Ambalewaali song contributions “fund” has met with overwhelming response. 🙂 Now I have enough Zohrabai Ambalewaali songs to see her through to her century mark and beyond.
