A couple of days back I got to see the movie Naughty Boy (1962). It is a comedy starring Kishore Kumar and Kalpana (often remembered as the heroine singing “main chali main chali” with Shammi Kapoor in Professor, or the object of Dev Anand’s “arrey yaar meri tum bhi ho ghazab” in Teen Deviyan).

I would not go so far as to say that I have learnt to appreciate art and culture as I have grown old. I am still very much a novice when it comes to appreciating these finer aspects of life.
What I will say though is that my taste in Hindi movies and songs has evolved considerably since my childhood or school days.

I came across a veritable gem today, that I had once heard many many years ago; I had no info about this song, just remembered the tune and some words, that would sometimes just come up in my mind by themselves and I would hum them, always longing to hear this song again. And today, while searching for something else, I accidentally bumped into this old long lost friend of mine.
