I have posted a few songs from “Ziddi” (1964) already. This was a Shammi Kapoor type movie ( Joy Mukherji and Asha Parekh starred in it). One major difference in this movie from other Shammi Kapoor type movie was that the music director was S D Burman in this movie.

“Dholak” (1951) was an amazing musical blockbuster and I am realising this fact only just now. An interesting fact about this musical blockbuster is that the songs of this movie were sung by not one or two established singers, but by several singers. The variety that they brought to the songs of this movie was just wonderful.

“Ek Shrimaan Ek Shrimati” (1969) is not a movie about which I had any knowledge. same was true about its songs as well.

This song from “Shart” (1954) has two versions. Female version is sung by Geeta Dutt and picturised on Shyama. Male version is sung by Hemant Kumar and picturised on Deepak.

This song from “Main Nashe mein hoon” (1959) is a “tonga” song, where the actors are seated on a tonga/ victoria/ tamtam ( whatever it was called) and sing this song.
