Here is a song from “Punar Milan” (1964). “Punar Milan” (1964) was a B grade movie and the makers of this movie saved money as far as hiring artists was concerned. Considering the talent available on the music scene, hiring talented out of work music director was not a problem, but hiring a lesser actor like Jagdeep as the hero of this movie proved counter productive.

In my bid to clear the backlog of old farmaishes, here is a song whose farmaish was given by Raja more than one year back. Apart from my usual excuses for not being able to post it earlier (too many songs to be posted, I am too lazy etc), locating the video link of this song was a problem too. Now that I have been able to locate this song and I am trying to clear the backlog of farmaishes, here is this song from “Ganga Jamuna” (1961).

“Love In Shimla” (1960) has a song that is basically a recitation of the Urdu alphabet that goes “Alif Zabar aa alif zer ae alif pesh o” which is sort of like ” A se anaar aa se aam” of Hindi or “A for apple B for Bat…” in English. For one who has studied Urdu, writing down the lyrics of this song would be a cakewalk. I am not familiar with the Urdu alphabet and as a result, the lyrics of this song is Greek (rather Urdu) to me. I had planned to post this song in the past, but I could not do so mostly because I was unable to follow the lyrics.
