Mohammed Rafi : The Incomparable (II) – Song No. 01
———————————————————————-
This is a revival of the series ‘Mohammed Rafi : The Incomparable(II)’. Part I of the series had reached perfect conclusion with the 10th song ‘na de ilzaam dil unn ko “. Now I feel that part II of the series is also called for. ‘Zarurat eejad ki maa hai’ meaning – necessity is the mother of invention. The saying in urdu felt believable when I was a child. If I ever say this front of my son, he is going to laugh at me, I am sure. He will have hundred examples to disprove the concept.

Songs to Tickle Your Memory – 30
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –

The inboxes on my email, mobile and YouTube account seems to be getting as many reminder messages these days, as messages for request. 🙂 This song apparently has not yet surfaced in public domain. And for those who have heard it, and remember it, this is a vintage Chitragupt melody – stuff that memory ticklers are made of. I got requests from more than one friend (Arvinder ji included, of course) to post this song. And our dear friend Manju ji (daughter of producer director K Amarnath) is also waiting for this song.

Missing Films of 1960s – 19
– – – – – – – – – – – – – –

We are now getting close to the end of 1962. The next film from that year which is being introduced today is ‘Sher Khan’. The film and its songs are available on the internet, and have been for some time now. Apparently,  we just did not get around to bringing up here, the songs from this film. With music by SN Tripathi, the songs of this film are very good. Once we get to hear them, then the mind wonders – where have these been hiding so far. But anyway, we are getting to them now, and that is a good thing.
