As was his wont, this movie too was on a socially progressive theme of widow remarriage which was quite bold for the time and as a result it was a commercially risky proposition for the movie. Today (14th february), otherwise known as Valentine’s day, is also the birthday of Jaan Nisaar Akhtar. Jaan Nisaar Akhtar’s name suggests that he may be a shayar who mostly wrote songs on the themes of husn o ishq.
