I have never met Atul, he is not even my Facebook friend! But over the past few years I feel I have known him for a very long time. I know him as a very kind and gracious person who not only posted a few of my guest posts on his blog but was even very, very generous with his comments on my blog which has nothing to do with film songs. Maybe the reason for this is that we both grew up in middle class households in the same era, and that too within 130 km of each other (he in Ranchi and I in Jamshedpur, both small towns)

No, it’s not quite what you’re thinking. Usually “mixed emotions” involve an element of happiness, tempered with sadness. Like parents sending their son or daughter abroad for higher studies.
