“Buzdil” (1951) was a movie starring Premnath and Nimmi and Kishore Sahu. Yes, those were the days when Premnath used to act as hero in Bollywood movies.

“Jeet” (1949) was a movie starring Suraiyya and Dev Anand. Second lead was played by Madan Puri and Suraiyya Chaudhari, apparently.

“Kavi Kalidas” (1959) was a movie that was not a mainstream movie, rather the so called B grade movie. These were low budget movies whose subjects were often mythology . This particular movie, as its name suggests was the tale of the great Sanskrit poet Kalidas.

“Rakhwaala” (1971) was a movie starring Dharmendra and Leena Chandawarkar. This movie has been forgotten by now, but it was a decent movie with great music.

C grade Bollywood movies on 1950s and 1960s failed to get registered in the minds of mainstream audience, but these movies certainly had some audience and they must have been making enough money to stay in business.

In Bollywood movies, most songs are on the topic of love. In most of these songs, the singer wants to achievemore than what he/she has got. Rare is the song where the singer is happy with his/ her lot and has no further aspirations on this count.
