Robin Chatterjee was born on 08.01.1914.
He composed music for several Bangla and Hindi movies and had worked as ‘sound recordist’ too.

“Jalti Nishaani”(1957) was produced by A G Dhanik and directed by Tara Harish for Emsheth productions, Bombay. This movie was virtually a remake of 1932 movie with the same title produced by Prabhat Film Company, Poona. The story, as recounted by our beloved inhouse encyclopaedia Mr Arunkumar Deshmukh, was about an honest king, a bad Vazir, a runaway queen with her son and the revenge taken after 20 years.
