Today’s song is from a relatively unknown film of the Golden Era viz. Shyaam ki Jogan-57. The film was produced by K.Bakshi, under his own banner, K.B.Films. It was directed by S.P.Kalla, who also wrote the songs in the movie. Narayan Datt was the music director.

With this, a very strong protest song by Noorjehan, ‘Kab tak teri duniya mein andhera hi rahega?’ All her songs from the Film ‘Hamjoli’ are covered for our blog. The remaining songs from the Film, according to HFGK are:

Today (8 february 2015) is the 25th death anniversary of Mohammad Hussain Farooqui(17 august 1915-8 february 1990). He was active as a playback singer from 1947 to 1950. He sang some nice songs in movies like “Chheen le aazaadi”, “Duniyan ek sarai”, “Laakhon mein ek” and “Pehli pehchaan” etc.
