Kahta hai Joker saara zamana

India of 1970 was a much more simple,unsophisticated, and underdeveloped in most respects. So much so that movie makers who decided to make different off beat movies were left in the lurch. Raj Kapoor was one such movie maker who paid heavily for overestimating the calibre of his audience. His ambitious labour of love “Mera Naam Joker” fell flat at the box office.

“Bahu Begum” was one of the last movies in which Roshan gave music. And Roshan was at the peak of his prowess at that time.

I may not be the only person to note that majority of songs in Bollywood are about love. In these songs, the lead actors would fall in love and then sing love songs.
