I never tire of mentioning that this blog had over 2800 songs in it, but even I had not kept track of the number of movies whose songs have been posted in this blog. I just realised that there are songs from nearly 1000 movies in this blog ! Taking a look at the lists (movie wise, music director wise, or yearwise) can give some useful information.

When “Hum Log” is mentioned, most people remember the first mega serial in Indian TV which was aired on Doordarshan (India’s government TV channel, which was the only TV channel in India at that time) in 1980s. But three decades earlier, there was a Hindi movie by this name too.

“Jaadu” (1951) was a movie starring Suresh and Nalini Jaiwant. I have posted one song from this movie in the past. This movie in fact had several nice songs in it.
