Parody is a very interesting form of songs. Many people think that it is very easy to make a Parody song, but in my opinion, it is one of the most difficult forms to present. It is not just the tune of a popular song, but also the song situation in the film too, that has to be taken into account. It must have meaningful words to suit the purpose of the situation and must also evoke laughs. It is easier to make people cry, but it is very difficult to make people smile or laugh heartily.

VINTAGE NAUSHAD…Song No. 11….Last song of the series.
————————————————————-
We have come to the end of this series on the early music of Naushad from 1940 to 1946. Today’s song is from the film Keemat-46, a Kardar Production which celebrated Silver Jubilee. Naushad gave music to 3 films in 1946 and all 3 got turned out to be Silver Jubilee hits. Films were Keemat, Anmol Ghadi and Shahjehan. I have not discussed any songs from Naushad’s famous successes, namely Rattan-44, Anmol Ghadi-46 and Shahjehan-46, in this series.

VINTAGE NAUSHAD….Song No. 10
——————————-
I badly needed a break from my routine in Mumbai, after the unfortunate calamity in December. In all such cases, there is nothing like a visit to one’s Hometown where one can spend some time with old friends and close relatives. I proceeded to Hyderabad by train on the 24th night. Somehow, I have a fascination for Train travel and I prefer Train to Air travel. When I entered my compartment in the 1st AC bogie,I found a middle aged lady and a very smart young man already inside the cabin. Luckily, the 4th berth remained vacant till the end. The lady looked very graceful and sophisticated.
