Bombay has been the centre of Film making in India right from the very beginning. Why Bombay and not any other city in India ? During the early 50s, whenever there was any function, or a marriage or Upnayan ceremony in some relative’s place, I alongwith all my cousins used to have a field day. Such functions were usually held during summer vacations,so there was no tension of Exams or studies. There were about 15-16 of us, both boys and girls put together. One favourite game that we used to play was called ” Bhendya “. This was similar today’s ‘Antakshari ‘. In those times our game consisted of only Marathi songs-Bhavgeets or cinema songs.
