I don’t remember if I have seen the 1960 movie Love in Simla before. But I have heard many of its songs. And one or two songs have remained with me playing in the background of my head. I had marked this movie in the youtube library some time ago and began seeing it recently. The best part about seeing movies on youtube is they come in segments of 12 minutes. And as I was enjoying myself with the CINDERALLA kind of story this particular song came by and I thought “ hey I know this song” then the next step “is it on Atul?” and on searching I find Atuldom has eight songs from this movie but this one is missing.

The movie had Sanjeev Kumar, Jaya Bhaduri, Mehmood, Manmohan Krishna, Madhu Malini, Lalita Pawar, Yogita Bali etc in it. This movie was a light hearted comedy movie that likes of which were quite popular in 1970s.

Pick up any film done by him, any song created by him, and as you listen, and if you are not aware of the identity of the music director, you will surely wonder who would it be, the creator of such a lovely melody.
