“Kashmir” (1951) was produced and directed was Rajendranath Jolly for Rajdeep Pictures, Bombay. The movie had Veena, Al Nasir, Kuldeep Kaur, Achala Sachdev, Arun Ahuja, Tiwari etc in it.

The movie had nine songs that were sung by ten singers !

Two songs from the movie have been covered in the past.

Here is the third song from “Kashmir” (1951) to appear in the blog. This song is sung by Asha Bhonsle. Sarshar Sailaani is the lyricist. music is composed by Hansraj Bahl.

Only the audio of this song is available. I request our knowledgeable readers to throw light on the picturisation of this song.

Song-Na ro taqdeer ko ae dil (Kashmir)(1951) Singer-Asha Bhonsle, Lyrics-Sarshar Sailaani, MD-Hansraj Bahl

Lyrics

na ro taqdeer ko ae dil
na kar shiqwa zamaane se
na kar shiqwa zamaane se
ke gham ki aag bhadkegi
tere aansoo bahaane se
tere aansoo bahaane se

idhar paida hui ummeed
udhar zaalim kazaa aayi
karam apna dikhaane ko
mere ghar har bala aai
muhabbat ho gayi bigdi
ho mere aashiyaane se
na ro taqdeer ko ae dil
na kar shiqwa zamaane se

koi maane na maane
maanta hai isko dil mera
museebat ki ghataaon ne
hai mere chaand ko ghera
milega kya tujhe ae aasmaan
mujhko sataane se
na ro taqdeer ko ae dil
na kar shiqwa zamaane se

muhabbat tujhko deti hai
wafa ke waaste aaja
yahi hai waqt aane ka
khuda ke waaste aaja
hazaaro aafaten aati hain
ik tere na aane se
na ro taqdeer ko ae dil
na kar shiqwa zamaane se
na kar shiqwa zamaane se
ke gham ki aag bhadkegi
tere aansoo bahaane se
tere aansoo bahaane se
