This movie had made its debut on the blog long back on 19.07.2009. However it still remains unYIPPEED.
“Sambandh-1969” had as many as twelve songs in it, all penned by Kavi Pradeep.

Mukesh and his Co-Singers –9
———————————————-
Let me begin this post with a disclaimer to make it more interesting.
If you are reading this post, it means the editors have gratefully accepted my take on the subject and for the inclusion of this NFS in the above quoted series.
The series Mukesh and his co-singers had begun with Mukesh’s association with Rafi saab. Thereafter, I have covered a total of 4 each male and female co-singers. Amongst male singers apart from Rafi saab, Talat Mehmood, Kishore Kumar and Manna Dey have been covered.
A very important name missing amongst male singers was of course Mahendra Kapoor who not only has some good number of songs with Mukesh, but also had a close and friendly relationship with him. The obvious reason for the delay of this post was the fact that all of the known 12 songs in which they collaborated had already been covered on the blog.

Today’s song is from the film Choron ki Baraat-1960. This is a very rare song from a film, which is making its Debut on the Blog with this song. There was another film having the same title ,in 1980 also. 26 film titles started with the word Chor…, from 1931 to 2012.
Produced by Charanjeet, under the banner of K Pictures, Bombay, the film was directed by Pradeep Nayyar and the Music Director was Manohar (Arora), whose assistants for this film were Sonik-Omi, who themselves became a reasonably successful MD pair with the film ” Dil ne phir yaad kiya”-1966. The cast of the film was Amarnath (Bharadwaj), Nazi, Shaikh, Nemo, Shakeela Bano Bhopali, Gulab, Jeevankala, Ram Mohan and many others.

#Bhoole-Bisre Geet # (Bikhhre Moti-1971)

Theme songs and or background songs is the common feature in Hindi films. I think it was more common especially in the Hindi movies from the seventies. Such songs also help to push the narrative of the story. They also help to show the growth and transformation of the characters through different phases of life in the movie.
