When I was a kid, wearing a swimming costume used to be a big deal for Bollywood actresses. Wearing such costumes was considered against the Indian culture and was considered tantamount to exposing. Thus we used to read interviews from virtuous actresses saying that they would never wear such revealing dresses in their movies.

“Talaash” (1969) had awesome music and a nice story line. In another time and era, this movie would have gone on to become a musical blockbuster. But unfortunately this movie had to compete with “Aradhana” and it was a knock out contest. “Talaash” was knocked out and “Aradhana” won.

“Chhote Nawab”(1963) was a movie that was Mehmood’s home production and he acted as the hero in this movie. The biggest contribution of Mehmood in this movie was introducing R D Burman as an independent music director.
