“Waqt” (1965) was one of the most influential Hindi movies of all times. The story of “Waqt” (1965) was by no means original, but the scale and presentation of the the story was was certainly grand. I have already given several reasons in the past why I call this movie an influential movie.

“Saanjh Ki Bela” (1980) is a movie which is a recent one by the standards of this blog. Still I was totally oblivious of this movie till recently. It is only when I got down to discuss this song that I became aware of this movie.

Most mujra songs in Hindi movies are rather “light” in nature in the sense that the clients as well as the mujra performers seem to be at ease with themselves. In reality, performing mujra as well as going to kotha to watch these performances was regarded as disreputable acts.
