“Muhabbat Isko Kahte Hain” (1965) is a movie starring Shashi Kapoor and Nanda. Most people may not be familiar with the movie, but the songs of this movie are wonderful songs.

“Jab se Tumhe Dekha Hai” (1963) is a lesser known movie from the past. It had Pradeep Kumar and Geeta Bali in lead roles. As was the case with most movies of those days, the songs of this movie too are nice to listen to.

I have mentioned it in the past that “Saweraa” (1958), though a forgotten movie, was a musical blockbuster with some wonderful songs in it.

Party songs/club songs where a female dancer sings and dances became a staple diet of Hindi movies in 1950s. Geeta Dutt was one of the first (if not the first) singer who sang such songs. “Chakradhaari” (1954) was a B grade religious/mythological movie. It is that kind of movie which are given a miss by the mainstream movie watching public and only “lowbrow” movie watchers watch such movies, mostly in small towns.

“Anhonee” (1952) is one of the lesser known movies with Raj Kapoor and Nargis in it. The movie apparently failed at the box office. The songs of this movie are decent songs to listen to, though.

I was not aware of this movie called “Aage Badho” (1947). As I can see, this movie had Dev Anand and Khursheed in lead roles.
