Today, ten years later, five out of the six movies whose songs were covered on that day have already been YIPPEED The only movie not yet YIPPEED from that date is “Rustam e Baghdad”(1963). “Rustam e Baghdad”(1963) had made its debut in the blog on that day ten years ago. After that, no other song from the movie has been covered in the blog even though the movie has six songs in all and they are available as well !

February 2012 was a month that saw as many as 178 songs getting covered in the blog, at an average of over 6 songs a day. There were several days when even 8 and nine songs were covered in one day !
The date of 15 February 2012 was a sedate day in comparison. Only four songs were discussed on this date. Here are their details:-

This day ten years ago viz 27 January 2012 was a lean day for the blog. Just one song was covered on that day. The song was Chhaaya hai samaa mera dil hai jawaan from “Qaidi”(1957). The movie made its debut in the blog with this song.
“Qaidi”(1957) was produced by F C Mehra and directed by Mohammad Hussain for Eagle Films, Bombay. The movie had Padmini, Suresh, Anwar Hussain, Helen, Agha, Ragini, Leela, Johny Walker, M Kumar, Kamal Mehra, Rajan Kapoor etc.in it. This ‘B’ grade action-oriented film was released in January 1957, exactly 65 years ago.
