I recall listening to this song emanating from radios late at night after 10 PM and wondering why they had to play such boring songs at that time. “Love Marriage” (1959) was a movie starring Dev Anand and Mala Sinha. I have no idea how the movie fared at the box office, but the music of the movie is absolutely top class.

“Devtaa” (1978) was a small budget off beat movie with Sanjeev Kumar and Shabana Azmi in lead roles. The movie itself did reasonably well with its small target audience, and then the movie was forgotten.
