Today’s song is from the movie ‘Subah O Shaam’ (1972). This is one of the movies still missing on the blog. I became aware of this movie almost seven years back through HFGK when I got my first copy of HFGK i.e. HFGK Vol-V (1971-1980). I had then planned to present a Rafi song from this movie – “Meri Biwi Jahaan Se Niraali Hai”. I was actually looking for songs in the category ‘praising the wife/spouse song’; later on I dropped that idea (something for the good I think). Today I am presenting a duet song from this movie, which is sung by Asha Bhonsle and Kishore Kumar.

Today’s song is from the movie ‘Shaayar-e-Kashmir Mahjoor’.
I had never read or heard about this movie earlier till I become aware of this in HFGK Vol-V (1971-1980). It seems to be an obscure movie and very less information about it is available so far. Luckily though few of its songs have been uploaded by music lovers and I sincerely express my gratitude towards them.

I have in my earlier posts mentioned that nowadays I am getting to listen ‘radio’ for at least ‘two to two and half’ hours every day. And mainly I listen the programmes on Vividh Bharati only.
So, in the morning time it is part of ‘ham hai raahi pyaar ke’ and ‘Bharat ki goonj’ and evening times it is part of or sometimes full edition of ‘Shaam sindoori’, ‘Sangeet sarita’, ‘Jaymala’ etc.
Now that is the daily schedule since 2nd November’2020. This has given me the opportunity to listen variety of songs from the yesteryears and even the songs from recent times. I have come across many unheard songs and some beautiful songs even from the eighties and nineties. I will try to share them as and when possible.

It had Sunil Dutt, Mallika Sarabhai, Ranjeet, Rakesh Pande, Shiv Kumar, Raju, Bittoo, Nandita Thakur, Achala Sachdev, Sanjana, Ram Mohan, Goga, Yunus Parvez, Sunder, Randhir, Mac Mohan, Jayraj, Karan Deewan, M. Rajan, Kumud Tripathi, Amrit Pal, Narayan, R. P. Sethi, Jankidas, Bhola, Gulshan Bawra, Yograj, B.M. Vyas, B.B. Bhalla, Kirti Kumar, Rajan Kapoor and others. Dev Kumar, Gautam Sarin and Aruna Irani had a friendly appearance in this movie.
