Hullo to all in Atuldom
So now we are all busy discussing the pros and cons of the demonetisation on our WhatsApp group. We are also having a fair number of jokes on the subject. But as our dear thandapani mentioned last week when our PM dropped the demonetisation bomb (as I like to call it) I have also decided to wait and watch for the rush at the banks and cash ATMs. At such a time a few songs ran through my mind. Let us have one of them today.

There are many movies which come and disappear becoming forgotten over time. It is such movies that take time to make their debuts on our blog. This movie “Kaun Hai Woh?” (1983) is one such movie. Today’s song is from a film called Chaar Paise-55. This is a funny song and dance video of Kishore Kumar. Funnier was the fact that though this film was passed by the Censors on 12-12-1955, the film was never released in theatres, but its DVD and CDs are available in the market and also the film itself is available on You Tube. One can enjoy the songs and acting of Kishore Kumar of the 50s, in this film. Almost all songs are also available on You Tube.

Today (5 january 2014) is the 33rd death anniversary of C Ramchandra (12 january 1918-5 january 1982). He was one of the earlier pioneers of HFM and his contributions in enriching and adding variety to it is second to none. He one one the earlier music directors to adopt western music in HFM. And at the same time, he also composed songs based on folk music as well as those based on classical music. And he was a decent singer as well who sang over one hundred songs as a playback singer. And he could deliver under very tight schedules. He composed all the songs of “Aazaad” (1955) in just a few days and that too without compromising on their quality.
