“Premnagar”(1940) was produced and directed by Mohan Bhavnani for Bhavnani Productions. The movie had Prof Ramanand, Husn Bano, Bimla Kumari (senior), Rai Mohan, Fanty Prasad, Nagendra, Girish, Salu, Sheel Prabha, Gulzar etc in it.

R D Burman composed over 1700 songs in Hindi movies. Only 19 of these songs had the voice of Mukesh in them.
When I came across this figure yesterday (it is mentioned in the book -R D Burman- the man the music), I looked in the blog and also searched the list of R D Burman songs in HFGK.

The above is just a portion of some pulp fiction that I keep reading every now and than. When there is nothing good to read, usually after the Sudoku in the newspapers is done and i have read the usual article’s that are readable in the newspaper. Some times these books have these ” nuggets of wisdom ” or some portions where a lot is said like in the above portion. I had copied and saved in the drafts to use for a suitable song some months back, though it has no connection with the song post here.
