As obscure movies go, this has to be among the more obscure ones. The movie is called “Fariyaad”(1964) and it had unknown names like Ashok, Zeb Rahman, Shabaani, Gyaani etc. I do not think too many people would have watched this movie or would even be aware of this movie even when it was released.

I was aware of a 1948 movie called “Ziddi”, which was the debut movie of Kishore Kumar as a playback singer. But there was another movie of this name in 1964. This movie “Ziddi” (1964) was a Shammi Kapoor like movie with Joy Mukherji in lead role.

“Haqeeqat” (1964) was a movie full of wonderful songs. The movie itself was depressing for the Indian audience, considering the storyline of the movie.
