“Chhaaya” (1961) was a movie starring Sunil Dutt and Asha Parekh. And like most movies of those days, this movie was a musical blockbuster. I have posted three songs from this movie already, and more songs from this movie need to be posted.

In my bid to clear the backlog of old farmaishes, here is a song whose farmaish was given by Raja more than one year back. Bollywood movies of the past may have been differentiated on the basis of their budget into A grade, B grade, C grade etc, but there was no such differentiation in the quality of music in all these movies. Even C grade movies used to have outstanding music. But the music of C grade movies suffered mostly because of lack of exposure since records of these songs were hardly made. And record players were in any case unaffordable for most music lovers.
