“Girl friend” (1960), not to be confused with “Boyfriend” (1961) was a movie starring Kishore Kumar, Waheeda Rehman, Daisy Irani, Nazir Hussain, Bipin Gupta, Leela Mishra etc.

I had heard this song a lot during its time. this song was a regular song in Sri Lanka Broadcasting Corporation’s “aaphi ke geet” programme broadcast in the morning from 8 AM to 9 AM. In addition, this song was a popular loudspeaker song as well.

“Shehzaadaa” (1972) is one of the lesser known movies of Rajesh Khanna, at least as far as I am concerned. It must have flopped badly for me to have missed hearing about this movie during its time, though I could be wrong.
