Mukti (1977) stars Shashi Kapoor, Vidya Sinha, Sanjeev Kumar and Bindiya Goswami. Shashi Kapoor plays Vidya Sinha’s husband. This happy couple has a daughter, who would grow up to be Bindiya Goswami. In the happier times of this small family, the father sings a lullaby to his daughter. As usual in films, these happy times don’t last forever and the father goes missing and then it is the mother’s turn to sing the lullaby with a similar mukhdaa but different antaras.
