Lata Mangeshkar was very fond of a folk song that belonged to the village of her grandmother. In 1950s, she asked C Ramchandra to create a song based on this folk song and C Ramchandra created a superb dance song in “Aasha” (1957) that was picturised on Vyjyanti Mala. This song, which was written by Rajinder Krishan was “tu na aaya aur hone lagi shaam re”.
