This is a “new” song for me, though it is from a 1965 movie called “Oonche Log”. The lyrics by Majrooh Sultanpuri are heavy duty Urdu stuff, which are difficult to decipher. But knowing Majrooh Saab, it must surely mean something profound.

As Tapori songs go, this was creme de la creme of its genre which I liked a lot in 1970s. And guess what, I forgot all about this song. That is, till two days ago, when I accidentally stumbled upon this song again.And this time I realised that the song was from “Anokhi Ada”, the movie from which I have posted two songs already !

I stumbled upon this song from a forgotten movie called “Aulaad”. What a song for nostalgia buffs this turns out to be ! This song is sung by Rafi under the music direction of Chitragupta ( father of Anand Milind) and Majrooh Sultanpuri is the lyricist.

The songs of “Anamika” (1973) were so nice to listen to. The lyrics of Majrooh Sultanpuri and music of R D Burman were top notch and the singers, viz. Kishore Kumar and Lata had sung the songs wonderfully.
