“Dharmputra” (1961) was a movie with a difference as it was a movie with a message made on a socially relevant topic. The fact that the movie did not do well does not detract from the relevance of the message.

Though the first few lines of this song are the same as Iqbal’s song, other lines of this song are different. This patriotic song is from “Bhai Bahan” (1959). This song is sung by ASha Bhonsle and picturised on a kid. I have no idea about the identity of the kid. I request my knowledgeable readers to help identify the actor.

Rajendra Kumar was known as Jubilee Kumar in his heydays and it is obvious that he must be having his huge fan following at that time. personally I was not his fan because he was just befotre my time.

I am not much familar with this movie called “Milaap” (1955). Apparently it was a suspense movie directed by Raj Khosla. The movie had Dev Anand, Geeta Bali, K N Singh, Tuntun,Johny Walker, Tuntun etc. The star cast is quite impressive, and this appears to be good movie to watch if one can get hold of it.

It is often said that Hindi movie are enjoyed the best when you leave your brain behind. And when it comes to Dara Singh movies, it helps even more if one did not have a brain to begin with. 😀 Dara Singh movies are good brainless entertainment,and they are grade Z gems, as someone lovingly puts it in youtube. Brainless entertainment and grade Z gems- waah ! There cannot be higher “praise” than that for Dara Singh movies !
