POST NO. 1000
——————————-

I had never imagined that in my life I would ever write 1000 articles on old films and music. When I retired from my regular service in 1998, I had many offers from the Pharma Industry, because of my 35 years’ successful track record. I had joined the Pharma giant – Glaxo Laboratories as a Medical Representative and retired as the General Manager – Marketing.

We are in the midst of Saawan, the 5th month of the Hindu calendar. Besides, being a holy month for Hindus, it is also a month for romanticism. After experiencing the scorching summer for a couple of months, rains bring a great relief to the people. By the time, the month of saawan starts, the rains have already transformed not only the dry agricultural fields into green but also the surroundings areas. Also, in the saawan month, the intensity of the rains gets reduced allowing the inter-play of showers and soft sunrays. All these changes in the climate make the atmosphere congenial for romanticism. Longing, rejoicing and separation become the part of the romantic month of saawan for those in love. Poets, writers and artists have been inspired by the romaticism of saawan in their works.

Celebrating 75th year of India’s independence
————————————————————

I was just talking to a friend, who is very much involved with charity work and NGO’s. I said to her that it is very important for us to be charitable in all walks of life, for the health and prosperity of our soul. Doing a small thing for someone else’s benefit, however small that thing may be, which might not require any great effort on our part, gives immense satisfaction to us. This is to be experienced and not imparted. Giving and sharing of knowledge, makes the job of a teacher and guide the most charitable one in my opinion. Giving of advice or offering verbal guidance is sometimes ridiculed. But if an experience is shared, helps someone reach a correct decision or destination, there is nothing like it, as an act of charity free of cost.

Happy Independence Day to all!!!

Today (15 august 2021),We are celebrating the seventy-fifth year of our hard-fought freedom that we got on 15th August in 1947. The nation has grown up to seventy-four years old now and is stepping into the seventy-fifty year of its life.
