Here is a lovely 1970 style song from 1996. The movie is ” Raja Hindustani” and listening to this song almost reminds me of the movie “Asha”(1980) and its dhaba song “Jaane ham sadak ke logon se mahlo waale kyun jalte hain”.

This movie is known for Bappi Lahiri’s memorable music. This was the second move as a music director for Bappi Lahiri. If his music was good in Zakhmee ( “Jalta hai jia mera bheegi bheegi raaton me”), his music was even better, in fact outstanding in “Chalte Chalte”. Its theme song has become an iconic song.
